|Health Policy Commission (HPC) Update on Provider Organization Registration Requirements|
The HFMA MA-RI Chapter is pleased to announce the following opportunity for you to participate in an informative and educational audio webcast. Your participation can be from your office or any other convenient setting and is free for HFMA members.
Per Chapter 224, the Health Policy Commission (HPC) is required to develop and administer a provider registration process. Kara Vidal, HPC’s Program Manager for the Registration of Provider Organizations will be discussing the overall requirements, the recently completed first phase of this process, the plans and timing for Phase 2, and how the HPC and the state plans to use the results.

Kara Vidal joined the Health Policy Commission (HPC) in 2013 to lead the agency’s Registration of Provider Organizations Program. Before joining the HPC, Kara worked at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, where her responsibilities included regulation development and program design, with a focus on patient safety and quality of care issues in hospitals and long-term care. Prior to her role at the Department, Kara worked as a policy analyst for the Ministry of Health of Chile. Kara received her MPH with a concentration in Health Services Management and Policy from Tufts University.
